2008 Event Calendar

  • Five stand sporting clays every Tuesday evening starting at 4 pm and the
    2nd Saturday of each month, May - October, rain or shine!

  • Trap Shooting: May-October, Saturdays at 10 am

  • May 17 - Earl Day Memorial Shoot - Grand opening for trap and 5-stand
      10am-2pm with BBQ

  • Kids Fishing Derby at Lake Clara - June 14 - 8:30am registration, 9:00 Derby

  • July 12 - Gerald Green Trap Shoot @ DVSC 10am - 1pm (Free to
      members only)  There will also be Five Stand sporting clays that
      day at $5.00 for non-members and $4.00 for members.  We will have a
      BBQ with burgers and hot dogs.  Gun rentals, ammunition and                 
      instruction available (please call in advance if equipment is needed).

  • July 13: Peter Johnson Memorial Shoot: Adult/youth competition @
       DVSC, 10 am-2 pm.  Team competition for different age groups of
      children up to 16 years old paired with an adult .  Includes casting, archery,
      shooting and BBQ.  All equipment provided.  Just show up and have fun!

  • June 22 - Large Fish Stocking
  • June 24 - Trout Distribution: 1pm at Tallulah's

  • August 17 - 2nd Annual Lobster and Clambake @ DVSC 12 noon - 3 pm.  
      Two seatings - 12 pm and 1:30 pm.  Only 100 tickets available!  Call 368-        
      2908 to to get yours. $25.00 gets you a lobster dinner with corn and
      steamed clams.  Chicken available for non-seafood eaters.  Last year’s event
      was a great success, no one went away hungry!

  • Sept 6 & 7 - 20th Annual Ducks Unlimited Shooting Event

  • Hunter Safety Course - September 8, 10, 12 and 13

  • September 16 - Steak and Clays Dinner@ DVSC starting at 2PM, this is the
    end of the year appreciation event for five stand sporting clays. Trap
    shooters welcome $25.00 gets you a complete grilled rib-eye dinner plus
    two rounds of five-stand sporting clays.   Prizes for winners  of the five stand
    competition for adults, seniors, women and youth categories.

  • September 28: Wine and Harvest Festival Breakfast and Shoot.  Sausage,
    bacon, pancakes and other Vermont products, served buffet style, 8 -11:30
    a.m.  Come in any time - no special seating times.  Adults $11.00, children
    five and under $4.00

  • Rifle and Pistol Range - open year round               
                                               
  • Conservation Camp - youth scholarships to attend VT's camp, contact
    DVSC to apply.
